Cattery
Our cattery comprises of 20 cattery units. All are capable
of housing 2 cats, from the same family, in one unit.
The internal sleeping areas are made of fibreglass, with a
large glass front door. The sleeping area has a cat-flap that then leads to
a covered outside exercise area, 2 meters long.
The internal cattery accommodation is gas centrally
heated.
Vaccinations
It is imperative that all animals that are boarded are
fully vaccinated and proof of this will be requested on arrival for
boarding. Failure to provide this will mean that your pet will not be
permitted to board at our premises.
Cats must be vaccinated against feline panleucopaenia,
feline viral infectious respiratory disease and feline leukaemia vuris (FeLV).
These vaccinations are done in two stages at 8 weeks old
and then 3 to 4 weeks later. An annual booster vaccination is essential to
maintain immunity. If your cat misses a yearly booster, then the primary
vaccination is required to be given again, followed by annual boosters, so
these boosters are important.
Feline panleucopaenia : is usually refered to as
'enteritis'. It is very contagious and can result in death within 24
hours.
Feline viral infectious respiratory disease : there are
two main viruses that cause what is known as 'cat flu'. These are feline
rhinotrachetis and feline calicivirus.
Feline leukaemis virus (FeLV) : this is the number one
infectious killer of cats in the western world.
Diets
Cat owners tell us their cat's diet at home and this is
what we feed them. The main dried food in our cattery is Iams and we have
a wide selection of pouches and tins.
Home Comforts
We supply vet bedding for cats to sleep on. Owners can
bring in their own cat blankets, beds, toys, etc.
